Hi there, I'm Joao Veloso, originally from Brazil and currently residing in Montreal, QC, Canada since September 2022.
I'm pursuing my studies in the PDTA program at the National Theatre School of Canada.

This website serves as a portfolio showcasing a variety of my work and projects.

I wear many hats in the creative realm, spanning roles such as an actor, clown, musician, puppeteer, lighting designer, and sound designer.
Since 2019, and particularly during the pandemic, I have dedicated time to professionalizing in video editing. Notably, my experience includes active involvement in the 'BDB Cultural' project.

“BDB Cultural” is a cultural Project held at “Brazilian’s Library” in Brasilia (The Federal Capital) with Cia Voar and the Special Secretariat for Culture on the Ministry of Tourism - Federal Government Brazil 2021.
I was a production coordinator, responsible for all the technical team. My current tasks include video editing, audio mixing and I’m also the one responsible for recording, livestreaming, camerawork and operating the in-house sound.

But that’s not all.

There are others projects like: web design, video editor, LED video wall, director..

For four years I was general manager in the Toque de Classe Musical Center where I also held the position of producer, sound and light technician since 2019.

I initiated and oversaw the project Musicando com Teatro which premiered in 2018. In addition to coordination responsibilities, I actively taught music, specializing in guitar and percussion, as well as theatrical techniques.

I conceived and executed the CIRCOLÁ project. which debuted in 2016 and toured through the cities of Gurupi, TO; Gama, DF; Araguari, MG; Pirenópolis, GO; and Guarulhos, SP. The project continued its success with a special edition in Gama/DF in 2018.

Founded JH e Producoes in 2012, a production, elaboration on cultural projects. In 2010, I was invited to design and operate the light on the group Maki Maki Theater PERU/USA – participation in the 10th FIL - Rio de Janeiro, where he also collaborated in the production on the Hugo & Inês Theatre.

Participated in the Gulangyu Brazilian Music Week in Winter, in CHINA 2014, with the group “Jeitinho Brasileiro”, as a musician, production/direction assistant and lighting designer. Elaborated and operated the light for 10 years in the Atunbi Escola de Teatro (No Ato Produções).

Between 2013 and 2016 I was a producer and actor on the group Celeiro das Antas, working among the highlight performance, musical direction, and composition of the soundtrack for the show "Sonho de uma noite de verão" (A Midsummer Night's

Dream - by William Shakespeare) -indicated the best track by

the SESC Award Candango Theater 2010 - performance and musical direction of the show "Domingo sem Chuva" performance and clown in the show "Era uma vez...Chapeuzinho Vermelho", directed by Jose Regino.
